Research Associate
Tasks
- Managing register documentation (currently concerning shoulder arthroplasty and rotator cuff repair)
- Managing the study assistant(s) in their task of collecting registry data
- Consulting and liaising closely with clinicians of the shoulder and elbow surgery group, to assist with and guide their research projects
- Leading agreed-on research projects, and ensuring that their objectives are achieved and that the work culminates in publications in quality peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international/national conferences
- Participating actively in the further development of the Research Group according to the research strategy in collaboration with the Head of Research Group and Clinical Head of Research
Profile
- Medical education
- PhD or equivalent, preferably with some years' postdoctoral experience
- Excellent knowledge of all aspects of the clinical research process from planning through to publication
- Strong analytical skills and sound knowledge of statistical methodology, ideally in relation to health statistics, ideally with experience in the management of large datasets
- Track record of producing high quality peer-reviewed publications, and scientific presentation at international conferences/meetings.
- Good organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize day-to-day tasks
- Experience using the analytical software Stata or willingness to learn
- German (spoken and written, minimum comprehension) or willingness to learn
- Well-developed communication and social skills, and a sense of responsibility
- Passionate about research, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Assertiveness and strong leadership skills
